The Play: A packed July 4th event proves to Sarasota Modern that we deliver. They see 100+ people, zero effort on their part, and they just pour drinks. This is the demo that sells the infrastructure.
2 Lock in 2-3 social groups using Lightning They bring customers, we get ticketing + data Detail
The Play: Social groups (Suncoast Social, Sarasota Cool Girls, etc.) already have the customers. They bring 50-200 people per event. We give them venues + DJs + perks for FREE. In return, all ticketing goes through Lightning Pass. We capture the user data, they get a turnkey event.
3 Convert Sarasota Modern post-event Proof of concept → infrastructure adoption Detail
The Play: After July 4th, we pitch: "You saw what we did. Now use our system for YOUR events. You get a digital asset — your own venue page, ticketing, QR validation, access to our user base. It's free. We just take 20% of ticket sales." This is the infrastructure conversion.
4 Lock in 2 venues for July More proof of concept runs Detail
The Play: Each venue we host at is another proof of concept. Florence, Patricks, Zoto — we run events there, they see the value, then they adopt the infrastructure. More venues = more conversion opportunities = faster growth.
5 Build DJ roster (3-5 committed) DJs ready = can promise them to venues Detail
Why DJs are FREE: We offer DJ services to venues at no cost. Why? Because DJs are a seed for infrastructure adoption — not a revenue stream. The real value is getting venues onto our platform. Once they're using Lightning for ticketing, we get 20% of ALL their future transactions. Charging $500 for a DJ is nothing compared to 20% of their ticket revenue for years. The DJ is the bait, the infrastructure is the hook.
6 Google Search Console + SEO Discoverable when people search Sarasota Detail
The Play: When someone searches "Sarasota events" or "Sarasota nightlife," Lightning Pass should show up. This is passive customer acquisition. We've built 15 SEO landing pages — now we need Google Search Console verified to get indexed. Requires DNS access (Josh + GoDaddy).
